Sarah and Zach’s love story began in the most modern of ways-on Hinge. Like many others on dating websites, they had hoped to find something real but never expected it to happen so quickly. After exchanging a few short messages about each other's mutual love for horror films and favorite local wineries, they decided to meet up.

The first in person meeting was over drinks at a romantic cocktail bar in Cuyahoga Falls called Cashmere Cricket. Both were a little nervous and excited to see if their online chemistry would translate in person. The moment they laid eyes on each other they were both relieved and smiling, just happy they weren’t being catfished. The night passed way too quickly as they shared everything about each other. They learned Sarah’s roots were in Cleveland and Zach’s in Dover. They discussed their childhoods, dreams for the future and everything in between. A couple rounds of Cabernet and old fashioneds later, the couple knew they had sparked something special. Just two long days later, they went on their second date.

Though they lived far apart and had demanding careers in healthcare that often left little time for anything else, Sarah and Zach made it work. They carved out moments to connect despite their busy schedules, whether it was a quick facetime in between patients, or planning weekends around long drives to see each other. Their bond deepened as they navigated the challenges of their careers and the stress that came with them, always supporting each other along the way. They always looked forward to the next time they would see each other.

Just one year later they decided to take a leap of faith, and the ultimate test to their relationship. They decided to adopt their dog-ter, Gracie. Gracie is a playful and loving pup who immediately became the heart of their little family. Whether it was chasing her around the yard or curling up together during a movie marathon, Gracie brought them even closer. She was the joy that balanced their busy lives. The addition of their sweet puppy brought them a sense of completeness.

Fast forward another year, Sarah moved into Zach’s bachelor pad in Portage lakes that his friend’s like to call the “swamp”. With Sarah’s vision and Zach’s manual labor, they made the swamp a home. Here the couple enjoy drinking wine and cooking meals together, movie nights snuggled on the couch, and a peaceful lakeview.

On December 6, 2023, on a cruise to the Bahamas, Zach proposed to Sarah. On December 6, 2025, the couple will be married with all their loved ones surrounding them.
